Mid-face lift
A common cause of under-eye ageing is the gradual dropping of the mid-face area. Usually, the eye trough shares the same contour as the cheeks in our youth without a visible distinction between the two areas. As the cheeks descend due to natural ageing, the difference between the two areas becomes more apparent. Treatment is aimed at harmonising the two areas for a naturally rejuvenated appearance.
The mid-face lift is a cosmetic facial rejuvenation technique that addresses the appearance of ageing in the middle part of the face. The mid-face refers to the face area between the eyelids and the cheekbones, down to the upper lip.

Usually, the procedure is a day case, which means there is no need for an overnight hospital stay. The procedure is generally done under general anaesthesia, so arrange for someone to pick you up afterwards, as it is unsafe to drive yourself home.
How long is the recovery time?
A midface lift typically takes 7-10 days to recover from, which makes it faster than a traditional facelift. Following the procedure, we recommend resting for a week before going back to normal activities.
How Long Do the Effects of a Midface Lift Last?
In general, the effects of a midface lift often last 10–15 years before ageing signs re-develop to the point that some people are inspired to seek a less invasive, non-surgical treatment to address specific problems.
