How do I book a same-day or next-day assessment?

Can I have treatment on the same day?
The primary goal of urgent assessments is to establish the severity of your symptoms and condition and alleviate discomfort. Where possible we will start treatment on the same day, but please be prepared to return for further treatment if required. We regularly do same-day biopsies and excisions for peace of mind for our patients.
What constitutes an eye emergency?
The following are considered an emergency:
- Retinal detachment
- Corneal abrasions
- Orbital bone fractures
- Eyelid lacerations
- Foreign objects in the eye
- Traumatic iritis
- Chemicals in the eye
The following are frequently symptoms that you may require emergency eye care, depending on the unique cause or circumstance:
- Loss of vision
- Blurred vision
- Peripheral vision loss
- Bleeding
- Swollen, red, and painful eyes
- Light flashes, black specks, or floaters
