Is Purifeyes™️ safe?
Purifeyes™️ exceeds European standards EN1040, EN1276, and EN14476. The solution has been carefully designed to be low concentration yet extremely effective, and it has been clinically studied and recommended by prominent ophthalmologists and oculoplastic surgeons.
Why do I need a periocular cleanser?
While standard antiseptics and cleaners are efficient, they have considerable drawbacks for the sensitive periocular region and eyes:
- Isopropyl alcohol can cause severe eye burns and is flammable
- Povidone-iodine hurts and stains the ocular surface, lashes, contact lenses, and clothing; patients should avoid it during pregnancy.
- Chlorhexidine stings and is hazardous to the cornea and has been linked to an increase in allergies and anaphylaxis.
- Both chlorhexidine and alcohol are susceptible to antimicrobial resistance.
